The government's role is serve the society and promote its stability. For societies to prosper, or even continue, reproduction is necessary, and it is best if this reproduction occurs in stable, committed homes. So, the government should promote traditional marriage and the success of those marriages. Putting a stamp of approval on same sex marriage discredits the whole reason the government should be involved in marriage at all.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
